Paradise Luxe respects your privacy. This policy describes our current storefront and customer-account data practices and should be read with our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide when you create an account, place an order, contact customer care, or otherwise choose to give us information.
- Account information such as your name, email address and account status.
- Order information such as products, quantities, order totals and order status.
- Checkout information such as your name, email, phone number, delivery district, address and optional order notes.
- Payment-related information needed to identify or confirm the payment method or transaction, where you provide it to us.
2. Information handled automatically
Our website and cloud infrastructure may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps and diagnostic information.
The storefront currently stores your shopping bag and wishlist in your browser's local storage so those choices can persist between visits. These browser-stored values are not themselves an order or account record.
3. How we use information
We use information for purposes including:
- Creating and maintaining customer accounts.
- Processing, validating and fulfilling orders.
- Confirming payment, pickup and delivery arrangements.
- Providing customer support and responding to questions.
- Maintaining inventory, order history and account security.
- Detecting misuse, fraud, security incidents or technical problems.
- Meeting applicable legal, accounting or record-keeping requirements.
We do not use your order information to sell personal profiles or customer lists to third parties.
4. Customer accounts and authentication
Paradise Luxe uses Amazon Cognito for customer authentication. Authentication information is handled by that service, and Paradise Luxe does not receive your plaintext account password. Your account identity is used to provide sign-in, account access and order-history features.
If you sign in, we may associate orders with your account when the order information matches the account details used by the storefront.
5. Order information
Information submitted at checkout is sent to our commerce backend so we can create and manage the order. Order records may include your contact details, items, quantities, amounts, fulfillment method, delivery information, payment method, status, timestamps and order identifier.
6. When information is shared
We may share or allow access to information only as reasonably necessary to operate Paradise Luxe, including with service providers that host, authenticate, secure, process or support the storefront and its orders.
Paradise Luxe currently uses cloud infrastructure and services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services for hosting, authentication, application processing and data storage. Those services may process information outside Belize depending on the infrastructure configuration in use.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, lawful request, to protect the rights or safety of Paradise Luxe or others, or in connection with a business transfer where legally permitted.
7. Payments
The current checkout does not accept online card details, and the card-payment option is disabled. We therefore do not ask you to enter a card number, CVV or similar card credentials into the current Paradise Luxe checkout form.
If you pay by bank transfer, DigiWallet, E-Kash, cash pickup or another available method, Paradise Luxe may receive transaction or confirmation information necessary to identify and reconcile the payment.
8. Storage, retention and security
We retain customer and order information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the systems we operate. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should use care when sharing information online.
9. Cookies and local storage
The storefront currently relies on browser local storage for the shopping bag and wishlist. We do not currently use advertising or analytics scripts in the storefront codebase. Third-party infrastructure may still use technical mechanisms required to deliver, secure or operate the service.
Your browser controls local storage. Clearing site data may remove locally stored shopping-bag or wishlist information.
10. Your choices and requests
You may contact Paradise Luxe to ask what customer information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or ask whether information can be deleted. Some information may need to be retained where it is required for an existing order, legitimate business records, security, dispute resolution or a legal obligation.
To protect customer accounts and personal information, we may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request.
11. Children's privacy
The storefront is intended for general retail customers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children for independent account creation or purchasing.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, infrastructure or information practices change. The current version will remain available on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised when material changes are made.
